Film Review: The Good Lie

This was one of the best movies I have ever watched. Cried like a baby and think most people would do the same.

It’s based on real life stories that should never be forgotten and it shows the unbelievable strength and selflessness that humans are capable of, even at a young age. I think this is definitely a must-watch and I really, really recommend everyone to watch it.

A beautiful and very thoughtful fact about the movie that made it even more heartbreaking (in the best possible way) is that the actors themselves were from Sudan and two of them hadn’t just been refugees, but child soldiers as well. I felt this added to the reality of the movie making it something closer to us as opposed to a far away story of people we’ll never see in real life.

It was brilliant and emotional and it really deserves a 5-star rating!
